"Football's Charm: My Passion Beyond the Game"

Greetings! My name is Jinendra, a Melaka MMU student who is currently 20 years old. Since my early years, football has been a significant part of me. To my understanding, it goes beyond mere play; it is something that has developed into what I am today. A kind of magic happens on the field when you step out there; you listen to the crowd roar and feel the pulse of every pass, every goal, and every celebration that follows afterwards.

Football has given me awesome life skills that I can’t forget, even when it is over. It teaches us about discipline, encourages us to work together as a team, and guides us on how to cope with stress in various situations, be they on or off the field. Playing around endlessly, exercising, and getting involved in friendly matches always enlightens me every day that come what may, football is important for individual improvement and toughness.

A footballer must have in-depth knowledge of basic procedures such as right pass, reliable ball control, and tactical positioning so that he becomes a better player. Persistence and faith are essential in perfecting these rudimentary skills while achieving mastery on the field. For instance, I regularly follow two YouTube channels dedicated to football training JFootball and Unisport which have significantly contributed to my progress. The content broadcasted on the JFootball YouTube channel has been my favourite for the last four years. It is a channel based on football in Korea. I would advise anyone willing to cultivate his talent to try this. The thing that distinguishes JFootball is that it is from the player's perspective: the viewer can follow the game imagining him as a player doing exactly what is shown by the video. Due to its informal nature, learning becomes fun even for those hard skills that appear difficult. Unisport on the other hand, is a channel with clearly structured tutorials for many football positions; for example, a center-back, right-back, left-back, midfielder, striker or winger are few examples. Essential skills required to withstand an opponent differ depending on a position hence Unisport has uploaded well analysed videos per every position. Both channels are worth exploring for anyone who wants to enhance his skills in soccer.

Fitness is another very important aspect that needs to be considered in football. Players are required to be strong enough, quick and keep the ball rolling at all times. This requires regular workouts, sprints jogging and weightlifting exercises among others just to keep fit for better performance during competitions.

In addition, football should not ignore its mental side. Competitive matches are, by their nature, pressure situations that require one to learn how to handle the situation. To me, it has been essential to understand how to control rage, be quick in decision-making, and most importantly, keep a positive attitude.

Football, which we all like, plays a very crucial role in terms of the values it in stills in people. Football has given meaning to my friends and me, as we share an unrivalled bond while on the pitch. The beauty of playing a game is not simply about winning and losing but rather feelings such as brotherhood and esteem that exist among players.

To sum up, there are numerous teachings I can take from this amazing game named ‘football’ that will stick to my mind for the rest of my life. On and off stage, teamwork, perseverance, and loyalty are some principles connected with it that will lead my way.
